Don't be shy — come and get involved! You don't have to have a race car, solo, or be a rally fanatic to come to a Lone Star Region event. Members are encouraged to bring other interested folks, too. We welcome ALL car nuts.

The Executive Board of the Lone Star Region needs you to help us help you. Racing costs continue to increase, and those costs directly affect entry fees. The region's board, officers and race chairmen are actively engaged in scrutinizing racing costs for reduction opportunities, and are developing alternative race formats that will have inherent savings in terms of sanction fees, insurance costs, etc.

The other opportunity to contain entry fees will come from alternative revenue sources - race sponsors, to be specific. We represent an attractive demographic group, and need to exploit that by finding businesses that would like focused access to it. Opportunities for custom crafted sponsor / promotion packages, at both the 'naming sponsor' and 'supporting sponsor' level, are unlimited.

How do you help? One of three ways:

1. Contact someone on the Executive Board (see "Contact info" on ./) with suggestions for potential sponsors. Include 'decision maker' contact information.

2. Show up at an Executive Board meeting and volunteer to lead or participate on a sponsor / promotion / marketing committee to help craft attractive custom packages for potential race sponsors.

3. Sign on as a race sponsor, and tell us what we can do to make the most of the opportunity for you. Promotional visibility, on site presence -- you name it and we can work together to make it happen.

Racing has only one winner -- but race sponsorship can be win / win.
