  • Pat O'Keefe

Topics

  1. Validation that the January event will be a double regional

It was validated that the event will be a double regional.

  2. Who will be the race Chair?

Gregg Matocha and Paula Taylor have agreed to co-chair the event. Greg LaKomski requested to participate to understand the process of putting on a race.

  3. Date and schedule for elections

After discussion it was determined the elections will be finalized on the 25th of October at a member event, likely to be held at Dave and Busters. The plan is to have the election announcement to be in the next Newsletter and on the website ASAP. Job descriptions will be posted. We will try to have a ballot ready to go out early in October to allow plenty of time prior to the 25th.

  4. Social event / Del Webb report

Paula was not in attendance but had talked to Gregg M. who reported that the Del Webb project was a success. Paula was to be asked to provide a write up for the website and newsletter - G. Matocha to ask Paula.

  5. Website awareness

Lakomski asked for suggestions on how to increase website awareness. Only thing we could think of was to push it in the newsletter. Also went over website since Bill had a working terminal in the conference room. Discovered that the photo of Gregg Matocha's car was the wrong car. OOPS!

  6. Annual Tech

Discussed date and process for annual tech. Bill offered his shop for tech. Very cool. Settled on the 14th of December . Directions to shop to be posted on website.

  7. Decals

Nick had some stickers with the region's website logo made up and put on car to very good reviews. Gregg M expressed concern about the way in which the region's logo seemed to be changing in a unilateral fashion. We will try to address this at the next meeting.

  8. Financial Report

Pat provided a mid-year financial report showing that we had made money. This led to a discussion of worker motivation. It was determined that we should investigate how to have much better events at TWS and a short specification was developed. LaKomski will contact the College Station Chamber of Commerce to discuss and come up with options.
